We ask the Council to fulfill the law <\/b><\/u><\/font><\/font>before passage of PR 24-380<\/b><\/u><\/font><\/font> and <\/font><\/font>demand<\/font><\/font> the executive to conduct the <\/font><\/font>required<\/font><\/font> impact assessments associated with the 200 million square feet of land use map changes that is no<\/font><\/font>w<\/font><\/font> culminating with PR 24-380, Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map and Generalized Policy Map Approval Resolution of 2021. <\/font><\/font>See<\/i><\/font><\/font> DC Code \u00a7 1\u2013306.04 (d), 10A DCMR 2515.3 (e), among other laws and regs.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

If we don't plan <\/font>as a city<\/font>, we will see even more displacement of our vulnerable communities. If we don't plan, we will see more sinkholes and blackouts. If we don't plan, we will see more choking traffic jams. If we don't plan, we will see more health disparities. <\/font>If we don\u2019t plan, our schools will become more overcrowded. If we don\u2019t plan, the costs of living here will continue to be out of reach for most working people, especially those making minimum wage.<\/font><\/b><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
