Plaza Counsel Asks Truist Remove “Unsightly Barriers …\u00a0 Blocking Public Access” to the Adams Morgan Plaza<\/b><\/font><\/div>\n

Ward One, Washington D.C. — December 30, 2022<\/b> — Counsel for the Adams Morgan Plaza campaign, Paul Zukerberg sent a letter to Truist Bank asking them to remove the fences<\/b><\/a> around the Adams Morgan Plaza at 18th and Columbia Road, NW.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Truist bank representatives absconded with unhoused residents belongings<\/b><\/a> and threw up the fences around the Plaza this past March after DC Superior Court Judge Puig-Lugo dismissed the case<\/b><\/a> and lifted the injunction that stopped the razing of the plaza.\u00a0 Puig-Lugo's decision was recently overturned by the DC Court of Appeals<\/b><\/a> and the injunction is now in effect again.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Counsel for Truist has suggested in response they will be seeking an appeal of the recent Court decision, en banc.<\/div>\n
