One of the essential challenges that governments are struggling with is the provision for high-quality affordable housing. Mayor Bowser\u2019s ambitious housing program is NOT producing the affordable housing the city needs while it displaces Black and low-income residents, and seriously damages the vision of the 20-year Comprehensive Plan for an inclusive city.<\/span> Her solution to ally the city\u2019s hopes with profit-driven developers gets us luxury apartments and a reputation as the fastest gentrifying city in the US. #BuildMore is not the answer.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Thinking outside the box, Will Merrifield opens a discussion on social housing<\/span> that actually gets to the heart of solving our affordable housing crisis in DC.
