The D.C. Office of Tax and Revenue and the new Line D.C. hotel in Adams Morgan are locked in a disagreement over whether the hotel has satisfied the requirements of its $46 million tax break.

The property tax abatement is scheduled to take effect in the fiscal 2019 tax year, which starts Oct. 1, but the city says it needs more proof before granting it.

“The hotel has not yet demonstrated that all the requirements of the tax abatement have been met,” according to tax office spokeswoman Natalie Wilson. “As a result, the abatement has not been applied.”
