Plaza Counsel Asks Truist Remove “Unsightly Barriers …  Blocking Public Access” to the Adams Morgan Plaza

Ward One, Washington D.C. — December 30, 2022 — Counsel for the Adams Morgan Plaza campaign, Paul Zukerberg sent a letter to Truist Bank asking them to remove the fences around the Adams Morgan Plaza at 18th and Columbia Road, NW.
Truist bank representatives absconded with unhoused residents belongings and threw up the fences around the Plaza this past March after DC Superior Court Judge Puig-Lugo dismissed the case and lifted the injunction that stopped the razing of the plaza.  Puig-Lugo's decision was recently overturned by the DC Court of Appeals and the injunction is now in effect again.
Counsel for Truist has suggested in response they will be seeking an appeal of the recent Court decision, en banc.
